Alalusi Foundation has assisted with startup funding and advisory assistance for a number of non-profit organizations, including:
In the teritory of the Lakota - Dakota - Nakota nations, Wolakota's S'unka Wakan Project is working to re-establish the historical connections between the Native tribes of the Great Plains and the four-leggeds who became inextricably woven into the fabric of their lives. The Lakota name for horse, "S'unkawakan", "sacred dog", reflects the deep affinity among the people, and the role of the horse in their society.
The S'unka Wakan Project organizes group Rides to sacred sites, bringing Native youth and traditional elders together to share and pass on the horse-people culture of their nation. Along with the Horse Protection Coalition, S'unka Wakan is establishing a sanctuary for horses otherwise destined for slaughter. Wolakota Foundation
