The Al-Rahma Model School sits on a narrow backstreet in Qalamoun, a southern suburb of Tripoli, Lebanon. Behind the walls of this multi-story building, 150 Syrian refugee youth, including 30 orphans, continue their K-12 schooling - education interrupted by the ongoing war in their homeland of Syria.
Seeded by $200,000 of donations by Kuwaitis who learned of the statistic that over 75% of Syrian children who migrated to Lebanon before 2014 were deprived of education. Since that initial contribution to provide materially to this vulnerable population's eduction, support has increased, providing a much needed foundation upon which these children can develop themselves.
